Gujarat Titans continued their impressive form in IPL 2025 with a third straight win, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets at home. Shubman Gill’s team chased down 153 with 20 balls remaining, handing SRH their fourth consecutive loss.
Mohammed Siraj led the charge with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for just 17 runs. He struck twice in the powerplay, dismissing Travis Head for 8 and Abhishek Sharma for 18. Kishore chipped in with two crucial middle-order wickets, removing Klaasen on 27 and Nitish Kumar Reddy on 26. Siraj returned in the death overs to dismiss Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh, restricting SRH to 152/8.
In response, Gujarat lost Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler early, but debutant Washington Sundar launched a rapid counterattack. He added a 90-run stand with Gill that turned the game in GT’s favor. Sundar fell just short of fifty, while Gill anchored the innings and completed his half-century. Sherfane Rutherford added the final touch with a flurry of boundaries, sealing the win.
Washington Sundar looked like he was batting on a different pitch. Not a first-choice player for his side, but to walk in and play a flawless knock while others struggled—it was a remarkable effort.

SRH unwilling to play Rahul Chahar…something I’m finding very tough to digest.

Like the way gujarat has gone about their job in IPL since the first season . There is lot of cricket brain in their team set up and their approach .. Ashish nehra has really shown his qualities as head coach.. tremendous game sense .. @IPL
