Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) registered a dominant six-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 26th match of IPL 2025, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. Chasing a target of 181 runs, LSG reached 186/4 in just 19.3 overs to seal the win with three balls to spare.
Earlier in the evening, LSG won the toss and opted to bowl first. Gujarat Titans got off to a strong start, riding on a 120-run opening stand between Shubman Gill (60 off 38) and B Sai Sudharsan (56 off 37). However, the middle-order couldn’t capitalise on the solid foundation. GT eventually managed 180/6 in 20 overs, with Sherfane Rutherford (22 off 19) and Shahrukh Khan (11* off 6) contributing late runs.
Ravi Bishnoi and Shardul Thakur picked up two wickets each for Lucknow, while Avesh Khan and Digvesh Singh Rathi chipped in with one apiece.

In response, LSG’s chase was anchored by a dazzling knock from Aiden Markram, who scored 58 off just 31 balls with nine boundaries and a six. Nicholas Pooran continued his explosive form, smashing 61 off 34 deliveries, including seven towering sixes. Ayush Badoni’s calm 28* off 20 helped see the side home with Abdul Samad (2* off 3) at the other end.
Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers for GT, returning with 2/26 in four overs, while Sundar and Rashid Khan picked one wicket each. The win marked a commanding performance by Lucknow, who outplayed GT in all departments to secure their fourth win of the season.
