Gujarat Titans defeated KKR by 39 runs at Eden Gardens, with Shubman Gill’s 90 off 55 balls and strong spin bowling helping them reach 12 points this season.
Gujarat Titans secured their sixth win of IPL 2025 with a dominant 39-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Shubman Gill starred with 90 off 55 balls, forming a 114-run stand with Sai Sudharsan(52). Jos Buttler(41*) added late acceleration, helping GT post 198/3, a total that proved more than enough on a slow surface.
KKR’s chase began poorly as Mohammed Siraj dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz early. Rashid Khan removed Sunil Narine in the Powerplay, setting the tone for the spinners. Sai Kishore, Washington Sundar, and Rashid tightened the screws with crucial middle-over wickets. Prasidh Krishna added two more scalps, maintaining his strong season.

KKR never found rhythm in their reply. Despite Ajinkya Rahane’s half-century, consistent wicket loss derailed the innings. Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 27* off 13 came too late. Their decision to promote power-hitters backfired, as regular breakthroughs kept pressure on throughout. Gujarat’s fielding was sharp, rounding off a clinical performance.
