BCCI rewards Team India with INR 58 crore after Champions Trophy 2025 victory.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of INR 58 crore for Team India following their triumphant campaign at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial reward is not limited to the players but also extends to the coaching staff, support personnel, and members of the Men’s Selection Committee, acknowledging the collective effort behind India’s success on the global stage.

Under the astute leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, India displayed remarkable consistency and dominance throughout the tournament. The Men in Blue began their campaign with a clinical six-wicket victory over Bangladesh, setting the tone for the rest of the tournament.

They followed it up with another convincing six-wicket win against Pakistan, reinforcing their strength in high-pressure matches. India’s winning streak continued with a 44-run triumph over New Zealand, securing their place in the knockout stage. In the semi-final, India held their nerve to defeat Australia by four wickets, showcasing composure and resilience to advance to the final.

BCCI Officials Congratulate India

BCCI President Roger Binny lauded India’s consecutive success in ICC tournaments, highlighting the significance of winning back-to-back titles. “Winning consecutive ICC titles is a remarkable achievement. This cash award is a reflection of Team India’s unwavering dedication and excellence at the highest level. It also acknowledges the hard work put in behind the scenes by the support staff and selection committee. This was also our second ICC title in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup triumph, which highlights the depth of India’s cricketing talent,” said Binny.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia emphasized India’s continued dominance in white-ball cricket, underscoring the strategic efforts that have contributed to their success. “The BCCI is proud to recognize the efforts of the players and support staff with this well-deserved reward. India’s consistent performance on the global stage is the result of years of hard work and planning. This victory has reinforced India’s position as the top-ranked side in white-ball cricket, and we are confident that the team will maintain its momentum in the years ahead,” he stated.

BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla also praised the team for maintaining composure during crucial moments and performing under immense pressure. “This cash reward is a tribute to the outstanding performances delivered by the team throughout the tournament. The players exhibited remarkable calmness and determination in high-pressure situations, inspiring aspiring cricketers across the country,” Shukla said while appreciating the team’s inspiring journey.
