India is unlikely to travel to Bangladesh for the upcoming white-ball series due to geopolitical issues.
The Indian men’s cricket team was scheduled to travel to Bangladesh in August 2025 for a white-ball series consisting of three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). However, the tour is now in doubt due to ongoing regional tensions involving India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
According to a report by the Times of India, the series may be canceled despite being part of the official cricket calendar. A source familiar with the matter stated, “The tour is part of the schedule, but nothing has been confirmed. Given the current geopolitical situation, there’s a strong possibility India will not proceed with the tour.”
The strained diplomatic atmosphere, particularly following recent developments in the region, appears to be a major factor influencing the potential cancellation. While the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has not issued an official statement yet, insiders suggest that security and political concerns are being closely monitored before any decision is finalized.

The Men in Blue and Bangladesh last faced each other in a bilateral white-ball series in 2022. With both nations expected to participate in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, the August series was seen as a crucial preparatory fixture.
For now, the future of the much anticipated tour remains uncertain as cricket boards assess the evolving geopolitical landscape.
