Coming in at No. 3, Ishan built crucial partnerships, adding 85 runs with Travis Head, who scored 67 off 31 balls, and another 72 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy, who contributed 30 off 15. His innings featured 11 fours and six sixes.
Ishan’s previous best IPL score was 99, but he finally reached the three-figure mark, celebrating with pure emotion. He removed his helmet, pumped his fists, and acknowledged the roaring Hyderabad crowd.

Notably, the wicketkeeper-batter last played for India during the 2023 South Africa tour but left midway, which reportedly did not sit well with the board. Since then, he has slipped down the pecking order, with KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, and Dhruv Jurel ahead of him in selection.
