Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs to claim their fourth straight win and move to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
Gujarat Titans crushed Rajasthan Royals by 58 runs to register their fourth consecutive win in IPL 2025. With this result, GT now sit at the top of the table. Sent in to bat, they lost Shubman Gill early to a Jofra Archer delivery. Sai Sudharsan then steadied the innings, guiding GT to 56/1 at the end of the powerplay. Sudharsan went on to score a fluent 82 off 53 balls, anchoring the innings while others batted around him.
Shahrukh Khan added a quick 36 from 20 balls before falling to Maheesh Theekshana. Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia provided a late boost, lifting GT to a competitive 217/6. Rajasthan never gained momentum in the chase, despite coming into the contest with two back-to-back wins. Their skipper Sanju Samson had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl.
Rajasthan Royals collapsed to 12/2 early in their chase as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana fell cheaply. Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag counterattacked to take RR to 57/2 by the end of the powerplay. However, Parag and Dhruv Jurel departed quickly, triggering a middle-order slump. Samson and Shimron Hetmyer added some resistance, but Prasidh Krishna broke the stand. Hetmyer scored a gritty 52, but lacked support from the other end. Once he fell, Gujarat Titans tightened their grip and closed out a dominant 58-run win.
Rashid Khan’s return to form with the ball was a major positive for GT. RR’s bowling also hurt them earlier, especially the 17 runs conceded in wides, which added unnecessary pressure.
Another team fails to chase a 200 plus score. Only DC has won chasing 200 plus score that too when Ashutosh Sharma played a blinder. Time to rethink for teams at the toss. Don’t always bowl first, not a great idea. #RRvsGT

Sai Sudarshan shows how right technique will never go out of fashion. Plays ball on merit, takes calculated risks and has a calm head on shoulder. Lambi race ka ghoda hai. #GTvRR
