Harbhajan Singh stirred controversy during his commentary stint in the IPL 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday. The former India offspinner compared Jofra Archer’s performance to London’s black taxis, which sparked criticism on social media.
Harbhajan Singh’s Cheeky Remark On Archer
During the 18th over of SRH’s innings, when Heinrich Klaasen struck Archer for consecutive boundaries, Harbhajan quipped, “London mein kaali taxi bohot tez bhagti hai, uska meter. Aur ye aaj Archer sahab ka bhi meter kuch aise he bhaga hai (London’s black taxis meter runs at a high speed and so has been the case with Archer today). He’s has given away lot of runs.” The remark did not sit well with fans, prompting demands for an apology.
