Lucknow Super Giants pulled off a dramatic two-run win over Rajasthan Royals in a last-over cliffhanger at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Rajasthan’s chase of 181 started strong but unraveled in the final overs. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and debutant Vaibhav Suryavanshi powered RR to 61 for no loss in six overs. Vaibhav hit a quickfire 36 before falling, followed by Nitish Rana’s early exit. Jaiswal anchored the innings with a fluent 74, sharing a vital stand with Riyan Parag.

At 144 for 2, RR looked in control. But things changed dramatically in the 18th over. Avesh Khan dismissed both Jaiswal and Parag, starting a collapse. Shimron Hetmyer fell soon after as pressure mounted.
Despite needing just 20 off 12 balls, Royals lost their way. Prince Yadav conceded 11 in the 19th, leaving 9 to get in the last over. Avesh returned with precision, delivering pinpoint yorkers and sealing the match for LSG. He finished with 3 wickets in his final two overs, breaking RR’s back at a crucial stage. The defeat marked Rajasthan’s sixth of the season.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants had posted 180 for 6 after electing to bat first. The top order stumbled, losing three wickets inside ten overs. Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni steadied the innings with a 79-run stand. Markram played with fluency while Badoni kept the scoreboard ticking. Rajasthan Royals slowed the scoring briefly in the death overs. However, Abdul Samad changed the momentum with a blistering 30 off 11 balls. His late cameo lifted LSG to a competitive total.
Wanindu Hasaranga led RR’s bowling with 2 wickets. Archer, Sandeep Sharma, and Tushar Deshpande picked one each, helping restrict LSG from pushing past 190.
