Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal powered Rajasthan Royals to an eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans, chasing 210 runs with 25 balls remaining.
Rajasthan Royals delivered a stunning performance to defeat Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in the IPL 2025 match. Chasing 210, young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a fiery start. The duo smashed 87 runs in the Powerplay, dismantling the Titans’ bowling attack with ease. Vaibhav reached his maiden IPL fifty in just 17 balls, becoming the youngest to achieve the milestone. He continued the onslaught to score his first IPL century off 35 balls, setting a new record as the youngest centurion in tournament history.
Although Prasidh Krishna eventually removed Vaibhav for 101, Rajasthan had already seized full control. Jaiswal added a crucial half-century, while Riyan Parag helped seal the chase without further trouble. Rajasthan Royals snapped their five-match losing streak with this win, keeping their playoff hopes alive. They chased the target comfortably with 25 balls remaining.
In the second innings, skipper Shubman Gill was subbed out due to a back spasm, with Rashid Khan taking over leadership. A dropped catch by Jos Buttler, when Yashasvi Jaiswal was on just 2 runs, proved costly. Rajasthan’s batters punished the Titans, dismantling their bowling attack. Only Rashid managed to contain the scoring while the rest struggled.
Earlier, the Rajasthan Royals had won the toss and opted to bowl first. Gujarat’s innings began strongly with an opening stand of 93 runs between Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Sudharsan made 39 off 30 balls, while Gill scored a fluent 84 from 50 deliveries. Jos Buttler contributed an unbeaten 50 off 26 balls at the end, helping Gujarat Titans post a strong total of 210.

Many congratulations to young #VaibhavSuryavanshi for breaking my record of the fastest @IPL hundred by an Indian! Even more special to see it happen while playing for @rajasthanroyals , just like I did. There’s truly something magical about this franchise for youngsters. Long… pic.twitter.com/kVa2Owo2cc
