Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) put on a clinical show in their clash against Rajasthan Royals, chasing down a target of 174 with ease to register a commanding 9-wicket win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals posted 173/4 after being put in to bat, thanks to a fluent 75 off 47 balls from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who struck 10 fours and 2 sixes. Riyan Parag chipped in with 30 off 22, while Dhruv Jurel provided a late flourish, smashing an unbeaten 35 from 23 balls. Despite the efforts, RR’s total was just about par on a good batting track. Josh Hazlewood, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yash Dayal took one wicket each for RCB.

In reply, RCB’s top order fired in unison. Philip Salt set the tone with a blazing 65 off 33 deliveries, hitting five fours and six sixes. After Salt’s dismissal at 92, Virat Kohli (62* off 45) and Devdutt Padikkal (40* off 28) stitched an unbroken 83-run stand to seal the chase in just 17.3 overs. With this win, RCB boosted their net run rate and climbed up the points table, while RR were left to rue a below-par bowling performance on home turf.

Smart batting by Virat Kohli. Let Salt go berserk early on, played second fiddle, and now shifting gears to finish it quickly. Class game awareness.

Low bounce pitch. Good bowling plans by RCB pacers. Not a single ball wide and short enough to cut through point. Template for today’s game. Keep it straight. 6-8 metre length. #RRvRCB
