The incident occurred in the 32nd over of Australia’s innings when Steve Smith pushed the ball towards mid-wicket and ran for a quick single. Kohli collected the ball swiftly and fired a throw towards the stumps, but Kuldeep chose to step aside instead of attempting to stop it.
Rohit, stationed at cover, intercepted the throw and immediately confronted Kuldeep for his lack of commitment. Kohli, equally furious, joined in as both senior players lashed out at the spinner. Their heated reaction, caught on camera, quickly spread across social media.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and opted to bat against India. The winner advances to the final to face either South Africa or New Zealand.
