Royal Challengers Bengaluru Win by 6 Wickets, Top IPL 2025 Points Table

RCB won by 6 wickets, making history as the first IPL team to win six consecutive away matches, and moved to the top of the points table with 14 points.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a 6-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in a dramatic chase, making history as the first IPL team to win six consecutive away games. This win also took them to the top of the points table, becoming the first team to reach 14 points this season.

RCB’s chase began poorly, falling to 35/3 in the Powerplay, with early breakthroughs from DC’s bowlers. Jacob Bethell’s brief resistance was followed by quick wickets, leaving RCB in further trouble. Axar Patel’s smart bowling and Karun Nair’s exceptional fielding added pressure.

However, Krunal Pandya(73*) anchored the innings, supported by Virat Kohli(51). The pair shared a 119-run partnership for the third wicket, with both reaching fifties. Their fightback turned the match, guiding RCB to a recovery from 26/3 to chase down the target.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru invited Delhi Capitals to bat first on a tricky pitch. DC struggled early, with KL Rahul’s 41 being the highlight before his dismissal proved crucial. Tristan Stubbs’ late cameo lifted DC past 160, but it wasn’t enough. RCB’s bowlers, led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 3-wicket haul and Josh Hazlewood’s two wickets, restricted DC effectively, setting up an eventual RCB win.
