Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored with 75 runs as Rajasthan Royals posted 173/4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal delivered a composed knock of 75 runs to help his side post a competitive total of 173/4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2025 match held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Jaiswal’s innings, which included 10 boundaries and two sixes, gave Rajasthan the early momentum and laid the foundation for a strong finish. His knock allowed middle-order batters like Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel to build on the platform and accelerate in the death overs.
“It was good, I was trying to assess the conditions. I was trying to build a partnership so that we can score at least 170. I was trying to give the base to the other batsmen and was trying to get a good start for my team. I was enjoying there,” Jaiswal told broadcasters during the mid-innings break.

Speaking about the pitch conditions, Jaiswal noted that the surface was slightly unpredictable but believed that the total was defendable. “It’s a pretty good score for us, the wicket is a little bit two-paced. If we bowl well, it’ll be a very good game,” he added. The young opener also shared a simple yet effective message for the bowling unit going into the second innings.
“(Message to the bowlers) Just enjoy the bowling, enjoy the game and let’s play together and just bowl into the stump,” he said. Supporting Jaiswal’s innings, Riyan Parag scored a quick 30 off 22 balls, hitting three fours and a six. Dhruv Jurel added valuable runs at the death with an unbeaten 35 off 23 balls, including two fours and two sixes. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Krunal Pandya was the most economical bowler. He returned with figures of 1/29 in his four-over spell.
