India Masters secured victory over West Indies Masters in the International Masters League final, but the match was marked by a tense altercation between Yuvraj Singh and Tino Best.

India Masters emerged as champions in the International Masters League T20 final, defeating West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Sunday, March 16. However, an intense on-field confrontation between former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and ex-West Indies pacer Tino Best became a major talking point.

The incident unfolded after the 13th over of the second innings when Best attempted to leave the field after completing his spell. Yuvraj immediately alerted the umpire, prompting Best to return, which visibly agitated the West Indies bowler.

The situation quickly escalated into a verbal exchange, with both players gesturing towards each other before the umpires and West Indies Masters skipper Brian Lara stepped in to diffuse the tension. Watch the clip below:

What Happened In The Match?

In the match, Yuvraj remained unbeaten on 13* off 11 balls, guiding India Masters to victory as they successfully chased down 149 in 17.1 overs. The chase was set up by a strong 67-run opening partnership between captain Sachin Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu. Tendulkar played a quickfire 25 off 18 balls, displaying glimpses of his vintage style, while Rayudu anchored the innings with a stellar 74 off 50 deliveries.

Earlier, West Indies Masters posted 148/7 in their allotted 20 overs after choosing to bat first. Lendl Simmons (57 off 41) and Dwayne Smith (45 off 35) played crucial knocks to set a competitive total. Among India’s bowlers, Vinay Kumar stood out with figures of 3/26 in his three-over spell, while Shahbaz Nadeem also impressed, picking up 2/12.

Rayudu’s match-winning innings earned him the Player of the Match award, capping off a memorable night for India Masters in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
